Day 8

Monday, September 14th, 2009

Dear Fourth Graders,

Today is the 8th day of 4th grade! We will practice more routines today such as how to write an entry in your writer’s journal, spelling, and vocabulary. There are many things to remember in the first few days of school, if you get stuck remember those 3 questions:

  • Who is the most important one?

  • What is the right thing to do?

  • When is the right time to do it?

Today we will begin our typical reading routine. I will introduce a new center to you each time I feel you have mastered one. I will introduce your morning work which will be grammar and handwriting. We will study the Constitution this week in Social Studies.

This morning at Morning Meeting, we will announce the jobs. I think some of you will be pretty pleased. Also, this week we will change our seats in that you sit according to student number.

First things first, let’s gather our book bags and folders and get started.
I am sure we will have another successful day!

Love your teacher,

Miss O’Brien
